Tips on Counter Depth Refrigerators

By Wayne McCornwell

Are you redesigning your complete kitchen? Maybe you are looking for some brand new appliances to freshen the look of the room. Or perhaps you just wish to have a new refrigerator that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Many of us won't be aware that they do not need to live with a chiller that sticks far out from any counters and cabinets which will perhaps partially block walk ways and kitchen islands.

Your Problems can all be solved with a counter depth chiller.

Though having an inch or two of the chiller ( or easily more ) sticking out from the counter and cupboards, it is definitely not pleasing to take a look at and can be just downright burdensome. Counter depth chillers are built in such a manner so that they're even or' flush' with your cabinets.

There are some drawbacks to this kind of fridge, however. First, these fridges will cost more cash than your more standard, classic fridge. Secondly, although you are paying more money for this fridge, you actually get LESS SPACE. So if you end up already in difficulties to fit your groceries into your refrigerator, you may want to rethink purchasing a counter depth refrigerator. Ultimately, many of these counter depth refrigerators have handles and other such hardware sticking out from the appliance itself, so you can not truly be getting a ton more space. The most amount of space you'll doubtless save by having this type of fridge is six inches. It's important for you to think about just how valuable an additional 6 inches in your kitchen would be. If you have already got a fairly small or rather big kitchen, these 6 inches may not do much for you. If you've a medium sized kitchen that feels a little crowded, a counter depth chiller may be for you.

Another good reason to go for this type of refrigerator is whether or not you've got a family. Anyone who has children and teenagers about can definitely say that they need all the additional space they can get-so those six inches gained by having a counter depth refrigerator can be invaluable! The kitchen is also usually the hub of activity in a home, so that whole six inches is some additional and much needed standing and/or sitting space!

What I believe are the determining factors in getting one of these refrigerators are :

-How stylish do you want your kitchen to appear? Cabinet depth chillers are a new trend and may actually not stay as something that's popular to have around
-These new fridges do cost extra money. Do you have the money to spend on this new fashionable item?
-These chillers are considerably smaller than the classic fridge. If you're like many of us who spend any where from $100 to $200 a week on groceries, are you sure that you're going to be in a position to fit everything in there? Be certain to measure the inside of your present fridge and compare it with any cupboard depth fridges you may be in the method of checking out. - 29957
